Bulam

Op. Dr. M. Hakan Bulam began his medical studies in the English-language program at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and graduated in 2006.

In 2006, he entered specialist training in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Gazi University through the Medical Specialty Entrance Examination (TUS). He completed his six-year residency in 2012, becoming a specialist in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. During his residency at Gazi University, he served on the face and organ transplant team.

He worked in aesthetic surgery, microsurgery (surgery performed using a microscope), cancer and reconstructive surgery, and maxillofacial surgery (surgery of the jaw and face) at university hospitals and training and research hospitals. He worked in training and research hospitals from 2013 to 2019. In 2019, he left public service and began seeing patients at his own practice in Nişantaşı, Istanbul.

In 2013, after written and oral examinations in Helsinki and Brussels, he earned the title FEBOPRAS (Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) and became a member of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. His professional credentials also include National Board Certification from the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons.

He is an Active Member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and a Full Member of both the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

His practice holds an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health and provides care to international patients under this authorization.

Today, he works in facial, breast and body aesthetics and non-surgical aesthetic treatments, and follows international developments in these fields. Throughout his career, he has also attended courses and meetings on aesthetic surgery and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.

He has published more than 40 articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has given oral presentations at scientific meetings, written chapters for national and international books, and prepared translations. His articles, conference presentations and conference participation together amount to more than 100 scientific contributions.

He has a very good command of English. His interests include fitness, basketball, healthy eating, music and travel.
